Dr. Elisabeth Collins is a dual board-certified adult-geriatrics acute care nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner. Her nursing background includes emergency medicine, hospital medicine, global health, and quality improvement. Her experience in diverse clinical settings has given her insight into the gaps that exist between those who are involved in direct patient care and those who are executive-level decision-makers in healthcare. Her experience as a hospitalist nurse practitioner has cultivated her desire to help patients stay well at home and to proactively prevent complications of chronic disease. Dr. Collins has extensive project and program management experience and has a passion for helping nurses recognize areas where they can lead transformation in healthcare. Dr. Collins is the founder of MedAlign Innovative Solutions where she leads a team of nurses to provide high-quality Chronic Care Management services for patients. She enjoys sharing her expertise and evidence-based, practical solutions with nurses and providers through formal and informal educational methods.
