3 Considerations for becoming a Nurse entrepreneur

3 Considerations for becoming a Nurse entrepreneur.

Becoming a nurse entrepreneur is a decision that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Here are 3 things to consider about diving into nurse entrepreneurship:

1. Your Why - it’s important to strongly consider your motivation for wanting to become a nurse entrepreneur. If your why is only to escape bedside nursing, you might not even recognize the potential pitfalls of an alternative career OR be able to objectively identify the benefits gained while working bedside. Spend time seriously thinking about and solidifying your why. 🤔

2. Opportunities vs. Alignment - there are so many business opportunities for aspiring nurse entrepreneurs - consulting, coaching, creating CE courses, IV hydration / med spa, concierge nursing, functional medicine, hormone replacement therapy - to name a few. But which opportunity aligns with YOU? Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. Find something that aligns with your values, passions, and skill set.

3. Financial Preparedness - entrepreneurship is an INVESTMENT. You will have to invest time and money before ever seeing a return on your investment. So it’s important to consider - are you prepared for this? How much are you willing to invest as a nurse entrepreneur?
